Explained in English is a private website offering English language podcasts and digital learning products, owned and managed by Kiah Dana. I'm committed to transparency and clarity in commercial transactions carried out on this site, guaranteeing a space committed to the rights of users and customers.

These terms and conditions of contract govern the relationship between Explained in English and customers of the explainedinenglish.com site. Please take the time to review the conditions and terms that apply to the provision of services and electronic transactions offered on explainedinenglish.com before contracting any services and/or products available on this website.

How to Order

Users can complete their order after selecting their product by using the PayPal Express Checkout. PayPal requires payment information to be collected in order to succcessfully process an order.

Order Confirmation

Once the transaction is approved you will gain access to download the digital product. An order confirmation will be sent by PayPal to the e-mail address on record which will serve as proof of transaction. Please reference this number in any communications regarding the product.

Prices and Payments

The customer undertakes to pay the goods and/or services contracted from explainedinenglish.com in the payment forms accepted by PayPal Express Checkout.

Prices for each product are specified on the website including tax, where appropriate, for transactions within the United States territory. However, the operation may be exempt or not subject to the same depending on the country of residence of the buyer and his/her status (business person/professional or individual). Consequently, in some cases the final price of the order may be different than what is posted on the website.

Explained in English performs all payments through PayPal Express Checkout. PayPal accepts multiple forms of payment such as:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Venmo

  • The amount for purchases will be charged to the customer’s PayPal or bank account after receiving approval confirmation. If payment is rejected, the order will be automatically cancelled.

    Validity of Prices and Offers

    The products offered on the website and their prices will be available for purchase while in the product catalogue displayed by the website. Users are requested to access the up-to-date website to prevent pricing errors from previous versions. In any case, in-process orders will maintain their conditions for 7 days from the time of execution.

    Refunds and Cancellations

    Since digital downloads cannot be "returned", I only offer refunds for these products on a case-by-case basis. I put a lot of work into these explanations and take pride in their efficacy and content. If you are unsatisfied, please take the time to contact me at info@explainedinenglish.com and let me know why. I will do my best to resolve any issues.

    Cancellations of orders are similarly restricted due to the nature of instant digital downloads. Please make sure you are purchasing the correct product when checking out to eliminate any possible errors.

    In the case of a refund for digital downloads, it will be made according to how you purchased the product, i.e. directly to your credit/debit card or PayPal account. In the case of a refund for a packaged lesson with digital download, the digital download price will be deducted from the cost of the total package (i.e. $20 - $8 = $12 refund).


    Lessons must be used within one year of purchase date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled lesson with 24 hours notice, otherwise you will forfeit the lesson. If you are no longer able to attend any lessons please contact me and we will work out a solution.

    All information and documentation used during ordering, development and implementation of services governing relations between Explained in English and the Client are confidential.

    Any information received by the customer shall be treated confidentially. Disclosures to third parties is strictly prohibited. Please see the Privacy Policy for more information.


    Explained in English reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to modify and update the information in the website, its layout and presentation, access conditions, terms and conditions of contract, etc. Therefore, the user should access up-to-date versions of the site.

    The user undertakes to hold explainedinenglish.com harmless for any claims, losses, expenses, damages and costs (including direct, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary and indirect damages), and reasonable attorneys’ fees as a result of any breach by the user/buyer of these terms, whether or not considered material or immaterial; the misuse of the Services by yourself or anyone acting on your behalf, or for any material or immaterial violation of any third-party law, security or interests.

    Our sole responsibility will be to supply the product in the terms and conditions set out in this contract policy.
